In my opinion one of the best books on this infamous subject.  It seems that everyone who is a failed smuggler ends up making a fortune from writing their account on their downfall, seems like a win-win situation to me.

Warren Fellows is one of the many unfortunate stories about being hard on your luck and being lured into smuggling heroin to pay for his flight back home.  He did alright at it for a short period of time but his luck run out and he got caught and sent to the infamous Bang Kwang (Bangkok Hilton) and he tells his story of what it was actually like inside.

It is a fairly harrowing account of what happens in jails in Thailand and should eb enough to put people off smuggling in Thailand.  I won’t spoil the gruesome stories that await Mr Fellows inside but if you would like to find out how bad it is inside one of the world’s worst jail then this is a great read and a must for those of you on the ‘Backpacker Trail’
