One of the best written books I have ever read!  For the first 3/4 of the book I could not put the book down, it is complicated with a multitude of characters and sub plots throughout which Marshall manages extremely well. 

The story unfolds slowly and without giving too much away it is gripping right down to the last sentence although there are parts of the book which are slightly confusing and it turns a bit too supernatural for my liking a bit later on in the book.  There are also a few characters whose roles are slightly blurred.

Nevertheless a good read, although I would have liked it to carry on the thriller route rather than the supernatural route.  Still a very good book and well worth reading.
